Born in China. After graduating from a university in Japan, Cui joined Fuji Television, the largest commercial broadcaster in Japan. At Fuji TV, Cui worked at the News department as a reporter and covered numerous national issues and news for 12 years. Cui took on a new position in the International Department last year. Since then she has been immersing herself in the field of co-production which she finds very exciting and rewarding. Blessed with many encounters with the industry’s experts and professionals at the international documentary festivals and with her Chinese-language ability, Cui recently completed a documentary co-production with a Taiwanese partner. The program was aired just this past summer. She hopes to meet more new friends and continue working on more international co-production projects.

Claire Aguilar is Executive Content Advisor at the Independent Television Service (ITVS), which funds, promotes and distributes independently produced programming to public media. She advises on content strategy and recommendations and oversees international documentary funding. She has commissioned programming from the global community of independent producers and is curator of Independent Lens, the PBS prime-time series of independently produced programming. Claire has served as programming consultant and panelist for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Rockefeller Foundation, the NEA, the Pew Fellowships in the Arts and many other media and funding organizations. She has led and participated in film juries for IDFA, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Silverdocs and Visions du R_©el. A second-generation Filipina American, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies and a Master of Arts in Film and Television Studies from UCLA. She serves on the boards of Women Make Movies, STEPS International and the EURODOC Steering Committee.

Before joining the ABC, Thierry worked as a director and producer in the United States and Australia. He has worked across the release of over 400 feature and documentary films across various rights exploitation. Charles Schuerhoff has thirty-five years experience in the field of international television program distribution plus six years in production. In 1973 he started the international distribution office of WGBH TV in Boston. In 1980, he founded CS Associates, a distribution company specialized in documentaries including such titles as Ken Burns' JAZZ, Alex Gibney's 'The Trials of Henry Kissinger', and Martin Scorcese presents THE BLUES. In October of 2006, Charles returned to WGBH, joining WGBH International as Director of Acquisitions & Sales and merging the CS Associates catalogue. As of Jan. 1. 2009, WGBH International became PBS International - part of PBS Distribution, a new company that also includes PBS Video. The PBS International catalogue includes WGBH-produced programs such as NOVA, FRONTLINE and AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, as well as those made by many independent producers. PBS international does sales, pre-sales and co-productions in the international markets.
