This work included acquisitions for the VoD platform beamafilm and the not-for-profit theatrical distributor, Cinema Ventures.  With a focus on documentary and the education market Ruari now consults in acquisition/distribution for Antidote Films and others while completing his PhD at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Creative Industries and Innovation at the Queensland University of Technology.

Pilar began her career in television working as a freelancer on various UK productions including Channels 4’s Big Breakfast, Hotel Babylon, after which she spent 10 years at Zenith Entertainment where she grew to become Commercial Director working in all genres including, dramas 2000 Acres of sky, Class of 76, and SMTV:CD:UK, driving the international rollout of the format and licensing the brand and content. 

Pilar joined international distributor DCD Rights in 2009 as Head of Acquisitions and has since contributed to securing a wide range of acquisition totalling over 200 hours.

Working closely with CEO Nicky Davies Williams Pilar has helped secure high profile drama including most recently Mr & Mrs Murder, The Slap, Rake as well as factual series including I Found the Gown, the Coast Guard franchise, and Parole Diaries. She recently distributed the film Yogawoman into 35 cinemas in Australia and New Zealand and 42 cinemas in USA and Canada. The film had multiple sell out Premieres and Q+A events. Other projects she has worked on the distribution include the films Circle Of Lies, I Love This Place and AUSSIE RULES the world. He has worked across the release of over 400 feature and documentary films across various rights exploitation. As a key part of his role, Nick has assessed 100?s of Australian and foreign scripts, treatments and rough cuts with a view to acquiring the films for distribution in Australia and New Zealand. Nick is also Head of Production at Madman and has feature documentary SICKLY SWEET currently in production.

Charles Schuerhoff has thirty-five years experience in the field of international television program distribution plus six years in production. In 1973 he started the international distribution office of WGBH TV in Boston. In 1980, he founded CS Associates, a distribution company specialized in documentaries including such titles as Ken Burns' JAZZ, Alex Gibney's 'The Trials of Henry Kissinger', and Martin Scorcese presents THE BLUES. In October of 2006, Charles returned to WGBH, joining WGBH International as Director of Acquisitions & Sales and merging the CS Associates catalogue. As of Jan. 1. 2009, WGBH International became PBS International - part of PBS Distribution, a new company that also includes PBS Video. The PBS International catalogue includes WGBH-produced programs such as NOVA, FRONTLINE and AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, as well as those made by many independent producers.
