Nick has been a participant in the film industry for most of his 41 years, and a professional for the last 10. In his role at Madman Entertainment, Nick works both in the assessment and acquisition of films and programming for Australia and New Zealand as well as working across the release of these films into the territory. He has worked across the release of over 400 feature and documentary films across various rights exploitation. As a key part of his role, Nick has assessed 100?s of Australian and foreign scripts, treatments and rough cuts with a view to acquiring the films for distribution in Australia and New Zealand. Nick is also Head of Production at Madman and has feature documentary SICKLY SWEET currently in production.

Maori Television New Zealand

Maori Television is New Zealand's indigenous broadcaster. Launched in 2004, the network's primary role is to help revitalisie te reo Maori (Maori language) and tikanga (culture).

Carol Hirschfeld has worked in the NZ media industry for 28 years. She began in radio, had a brief stint in newspapers and then moved to television, working as a reporter, director, producer and presenter at TVNZ and TV3. For seven years she co-presented the prime time news and subsequently with her former co-host John Campbell, launched the nightly current affairs show, Campbell Live. For the past 4 years she has held a management position at Maori Television where she is currently General Manager Production.

Formed in 2008 by Tony Ayres, Penny Chapman, Helen Bowden, Michael McMahon and Helen Panckhurst, Matchbox is one of the most dynamic production houses in Australia. In May 2011, NBCUniversal took a majority stake in Matchbox Pictures and this has allowed the company to diversify its content. We produce television drama, children’s programming, factual and entertainment content, animation and feature films for the domestic and international marketplace. We have also developed games and apps to enhance our programs across all available platforms.

Matchbox works with some of the most exciting writers, directors and producers in Australia to deliver content that is internationally renowned.

Susie works as part of the unscripted team developing and producing original and formatted programs. Prior to taking up her role with Matchbox Pictures, Susie spent the last ten years as a freelance producer in a variety of genres, producing content for ABC, Seven, Ten, Nine, SBS and the Discovery Channel. As well as a strong track record in Factual Entertainment, in 2010 Susie's feature documentary for the ABC, Rudely Interrupted, was nominated for an AFI for best documentary under one hour.

Kylie works as part of the unscripted team developing and producing original and formatted programs. Kylie has an extensive background in unscripted television production with notable credits including Big Brother, The Amazing Race, Prank Patrol and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Kylie's independent documentaries have been screened nationally on ABC, SBS, Discovery and Channel Seven and her short films have been screened around the world.
